FLUAProfile – WURFL integration has started. Some of you may have heard about WURFL before. WURFL is an open-source device information repository which can be queried programmatically by applications to decide whether a device can or cannot support a given piece of content. Browsing, scree size info and support for several multimedia format are just examples of the kind of information which is captured into WURFL. Luca Passani, Alessandro Pace and Jonathan Arnold have cooperated to bring the information contained in FLUAProfile to WURFL. From now on, you will be able to leverage the WURFL framework to understand if the device on the other side of an HTTP request can manage your cool FL 2.1 content…or if reverting to 1.1 is a better idea.
